WNBA Standings, Playoff Picture, Schedule: Liberty Clinch No. 1 Seed; Dream in the Driver's Seat for Eighth
Liberty Clinch No. 1 Seed
The New York Liberty clinched the No. 1 seed in the WNBA playoffs with a 112-87 win over the Dallas Wings on Tuesday night. The Liberty finished the regular season with a 22-12 record, one game ahead of the second-place Chicago Sky.
The Liberty will have a double-bye in the first two rounds of the playoffs and will play the lowest remaining seed in the semifinals.
Dream in the Driver's Seat for Eighth
The Atlanta Dream are in the driver's seat for the eighth and final playoff spot in the WNBA. The Dream are currently tied with the Indiana Fever at 14-20, but the Dream own the tiebreaker by virtue of their 2-1 record against the Fever this season.
The Dream can clinch a playoff berth with a win over the Las Vegas Aces on Wednesday night. If the Dream lose, they will need to win their final game of the regular season against the Seattle Storm on Sunday and hope that the Fever lose to the Los Angeles Sparks.
