Michael Keaton has no regrets about turning down big movies to raise his son

Michael Keaton is opening up about his decision to put family first. In an exclusive interview with People, the actor reveals that he turned down several big movies over the years in order to be there for his son, Sean.

"I always wanted to be a dad," Keaton says. "It was the most important thing to me."

Keaton welcomed Sean with his then-wife, Caroline McWilliams, in 1980. The actor says that he was determined to be a present father, even if it meant sacrificing his career.

"I didn't want to be one of those dads who was always working and never around," Keaton says. "I wanted to be there for my son, every step of the way."

Keaton's decision to put family first has paid off. Sean is now a successful musician and producer, and Keaton is a proud father.

"I'm so grateful that I made the decision to put family first," Keaton says. "It was the best decision I ever made."
