Washington takes early lead, but Jets score late for victory

The New York Jets rallied from a 17-10 deficit in the fourth quarter to defeat the Washington Commanders 20-17 on August 10, 2024. Marcus Wiley gave the Commanders a 17-10 lead early in the fourth with a 1-yard run, but the Jets answered with a 10-yard touchdown pass from Zach Wilson to Elijah Moore. The Jets then forced a three-and-out and got the ball back with just over two minutes remaining. Wilson led the Jets on a 75-yard drive, which culminated in a 1-yard touchdown run by Breece Hall with just seconds remaining.

The win was the Jets' first of the preseason, while the Commanders fell to 0-2. The Jets will host the Atlanta Falcons in their next game on August 17, while the Commanders will travel to face the Baltimore Ravens.
